A resident friendly tourism policy
Tourism policy should take residents into account, something which has not happened enough in recent years. Residents are after all the best ambassadors for the city. We will examine the various events and festivities with residents to achieve a better balance. The Winter Festival is a good example. There is certainly room for a Christmas Market in Brussels but the nuisance for residents must be limited. Chalets could be more spread out with pop-ups in La(e)ken and Neder Over Heembeek, and an ombudsman appointed who can intervene in case of complaints.
