Investing in education

As the capital of Europe the city of Brussels should be an example of multilingualism and multilingual education. Exchanging language teachers between schools, and giving some lessons in one language and others in the other, will ensure that young people are fully bilingual in French and Dutch when they graduate. We should raise the bar even higher and strive for trilingualism; English is an increasingly important language in the city and opens many doors on the labour market; the home languages of students can also be promoted through cultural dialogue in the classroom.
